Bitcoin exchange files with U.S. Treasury anti-money laundering agency
The largest Bitcoin exchange has filed key paperwork with the U.S. Treasury's anti-money laundering agency, but it may have come too late. Mt. Gox, based in Tokyo, registered on Thursday with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) as a money services business (MSB), according to FinCEN's website. Read More

Apple seeks 'iWatch' trademark
Apple has filed to trademark the phrase "iWatch" in Japan, amid rumors the company will soon launch a smart watch device globally. The trademark application was filed with the Japan Patent Office on June 3 for a wide range of product categories, including "computer," "computer peripheral," "GPS device," and "voice recognition software." The application was made public June 27, and is still being reviewed by the office, a process that can take months. Read More

Two malware programs help each other stay on computers
Two malicious software programs that help each other stay on computers are proving difficult to remove. The programs work together by alternately downloading slighter different variations of the other in an attempt to evade antivirus software, wrote Hyun Choi of Microsoft's Malware Protection Center, on Sunday.
