Apple fixes irritating Mountain Lion bugs, firms up Java defenses
Apple updated OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, likely for one of the last times, with a combination of compatibility and reliability bug fixes as well as vulnerability patches. The OS X 10.8.4 update -- the first from Apple since mid-March -- was accompanied by security-only updates for both OS X 10.7Lion and OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Read More

Apple infringed a Samsung Electronics patent, the U.S. International Trade Commission said in a final judgment that bans import into the U.S. of certain AT&T iPhone and iPad models: the iPhone 3G (which is no longer sold), 3G S, and 4, and the cellular versions of the first-gen iPad (also no longer sold) and iPad 2.
