T-Mobile to offer unlimited, no contract plans -- and the iPhone
T-Mobile USA hopes to rock the wireless industry today with detailed plans to sell the iPhone and other phones on an unsubsidized basis with no-contract, unlimited data plans. The iPhone doesn't yet appear on T-Mobile's Web site, but a new Samsung Galaxy S II in White pops up as its first offering, selling for $413.99. The Galaxy S can be purchased for a $29.99 down payment and $16 per month for 24 months. The installment plan doesn't incur any interest. Read More

Ubuntu slashes support, Debian 7.0 draws near

New storage technologies aim to deal with the data deluge
Douglas Soltesz, vice president and CIO at Budd Van Lines, is facing a common problem: A seemingly endless flood of data. "If you gave me an infinite amount of storage, I could fill it," he says. The most recent four months of high-definition surveillance video from the company's offices and warehouses now consumes 60TB on his Nexenta Stor NAS and SAN platforms.
