Twitter pulls plug on TweetDeck for Android, iPhone

Software AG goes all-out for in-memory data processing
Software AG is adding in-memory capabilities to the Enterprise Service Bus with Version 9.0 of its sprawling webMethods software suite, while the new Terracotta In-Genius will use in-memory technology to speed the processing of business intelligence. BigMemory, the in-memory data platform of Software AG's Terracotta business unit, also got a boost Monday with an upgrade to version 4.0, available now. It can be more easily integrated with Hadoop, supports Java 7, and can deliver up to 60 percent faster data access, the company announced at the Cebit trade show. Read More

IDC: PC shipments to decrease further in 2013
Worldwide PC shipments dropped in 2012 on an annual basis for the first time in more than a decade and that is expected to continue this year, research firm IDC said on Monday. Worldwide PC shipments are projected to drop 1.3 percent this year, IDC said in a statement. That would be a slight recovery from 2012, in which PC shipments dropped by 3.7 percent. Read More
