BlackBerry rewards loyal developers with shiny, red limited-edition Z10s
Application developers who boarded the BlackBerry 10 bandwagon early on will earn a snazzy reward for their devotion: a shiny, red limited-edition BlackBerry Z10 device. The company announced via its Developer Blog Tuesday that devs who have a BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha device and who submit a qualifying application by Feb. 28 can trade in their alpha unit for one of 12,000 cherry-red Z10s. Smith cites the MacBook Air in particular as a device that will arrive in corporate settings more and more as it grows in popularity. Read More

Dell to continue drive to enterprise with buy-out
Free from the bright lights of Wall Street, Dell's decision to go private is likely to lead to the company downplaying if not entirely eliminating consumer products in favor of building out its enterprise product portfolio, analysts said. Dell on Tuesday announced a buy-out agreement in which Michael Dell and equity investor Silver Lake will acquire the PC maker for $24.4 billion. The transaction includes a $2 billion loan from Microsoft and debt financing commitments from Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Credit Suisse and RBC Capital Markets. Read More
