Motorola to cut 4,000 employees as it focuses on high-end devices
Motorola Mobility is cutting 4,000 employees as the company shifts its emphasis from feature phones to focus on high-end devices, the company said late Sunday. About two-thirds of the staff reduction is set to occur outside the United States, the company said in a statement. Read More

Swiss scientists develop algorithm to locate source of malware, spam
Swiss scientists have developed an algorithm that can be used to locate spammers as well as the source of a computer virus or malware. The algorithm finds the source by only checking a small percentage of the connections in a network, said Pedro Pinto, postdoctoral researcher at the Audiovisual Communications Laboratory of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), on Monday.
