U.S. appeals court refuses stay on injunction on Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales
A U.S. appeals court denied Samsung a stay on a preliminary injunction by a District Court on the sale of its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, in a patent dispute with Apple. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit also denied Samsung's motion to expedite its appeal against the District Court's orders. "Samsung may of course significantly self-expedite the case by filing its own brief early," the court said, while stating that the Korean company had not shown that the time for Apple to file its brief should be shortened. Does anyone know how much Marissa Mayer is making?
The appointment of former Google executive Marissa Mayer as CEO of Yahoo had tech industry tongues wagging Monday when the surprise announcement was made. Today, there's just as much talk about how much she stands to earn at Yahoo, but what people are saying depends on where they are getting their news. The complex compensation package, revealed in a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, appears to be testing financial journalists, who are coming up with estimates ranging from $60 million to $129 million over five years. Epicor CEO talks company's renewal, SaaS, and growth plans
Following last year's merger with Activant Solutions, ERP (enterprise resource planning) vendor Epicor is closing in on $1 billion in revenue, a figure that belies the vendor's relatively low profile compared to giants such as Oracle and SAP.
