Windows 8 Release Preview leaks to Web
A Chinese edition of Windows 8, reportedly the same build that Microsoft will launch in the next week as the Release Preview, has leaked to file-sharing sites. On Tuesday, links to Build 8400 of Windows 8 appeared on multiple sites and discussion forums, many of them Chinese-language destinations. Read More

Nearly a fifth of U.S. PCs have no virus protection
A McAfee study of PCs around the world found that 17 percent had no antivirus protection, and the U.S. outpaced the average with 19 percent of PCs unprotected. The study counted as unprotected machines those that had no antivirus protection installed, or whose antivirus subscription had expired. In the U.S., 12 percent of PCs did not contain any antivirus program, and 7 percent had software that was expired. Read More
