Five Windows 8 features businesses should watch
The Windows 8 Consumer Preview isn't the only new Microsoft download of interest to businesses. Also recently released was its Product Guide for Business, a 15-page PDF file that explores the most relevant Windows 8 features and technologies for businesses. Though littered with typos, the guide provides a well-organized overview of many previously introduced features, as well as details that weren't previously disclosed. Last year, sales of Apple's flagship computer to business jumped substantially, growing 44 percent compared in Q3 with a paltry 5.3 percent increase for Windows machines, according to Needham & Co. Apple runs out of new iPads for Friday delivery
Apple has sold out of initial supplies of the new iPad in every country where it will launch the tablet on Friday, and is now telling buyers that orders will not ship for up to three weeks. In the U.S. and Canada, all iPad pre-orders placed through Apple's online store will now ship on March 19, three days after the on-sale date. Customers who placed an order very early in the pre-sale process were told they will receive the tablet on Friday, March 16. Read More

China's mobile browser leader UCWeb targets U.S. market
China's largest mobile browser provider, UCWeb, is preparing to enter the U.S. market, as the company shifts from doing business on its home turf to becoming a global Internet firm. Although not as well-known abroad, UCWeb now has more than 300 million users of its UC Browser software, which is built for mobile operating systems including Android, iOS, and Symbian. The company says users will want to download the company's browser because it will offer faster Web page download times, better viewing of text and images, and features such as voice search.
