We've put together a list of the best iPhone and iPad apps you may've missed this week. We have a cool new third party Gmail app for iPhone, an app that can derive your heart rate solely based on your skin tone, and the best podcasts app you can get for iPhone. Plus much more. Sent is a pretty good Gmail app alternative. Until we get the Sparrow mail app we've all been waiting for, Sent is the next best thing. There's no offline mode or push notifications, but you do get a very snappy email client that uses Stars, labels, Gmail search, and in line attachments. Price: $4.99
MyWeather might be the most fully featured weather app you can buy. With the winter season coming in, grab MyWeather and have easy access to radar, satellite images, forecasts, and a lot more. MyWeather's storm tracking is the real killer feature, which is completely with Push Notifications for severe weather alerts. Price: free
Philips' Vital Signs Camera app is pure genius. This $0.99 app somehow uses your skin tone to measure your heart rate and breathing rate, all via your iPad 2's camera. It actually works. Once you measure your vitals, you can share the results to Facebook and Twitter. But this clearly isn't the coolest part about this brilliant app. Price: $0.99 (iPad 2 only)
