How do you turn a new recruit into a powerful leader? The first step is to discover his/her why. What turns them on? Why are they in this business? What is it that will anchor them during discouraging times. Whatever that is, it is the key to them becoming a leader.

Additionally, a leader stands out by the nature of their commitment to their team. That is how you will be able to identify a leader.

Keep in mind that most attrition occurs within the first 30-60 days. The first week of a new recruit is critical. Most recruits say that their upline doesn't provide enough support.

You can support them by helping them create their contact list. You can create accountability for them so they can return and report. Make an action list with dates. How much time will they commit to each day? Determine what the most important actions are to move their business forward.

Your first goal is to help them get their product for free. Make sure you provide positive reinforcement through recognition. Recognize each step that moves them closer to their goals.

By coaching your new recruit you will help them transition from a recruit to a leader.

Transform them through motivation. Acknowledge them through recognition. Help them persevere with a positive attitude. Empower by example.
